Membership Development Leads growth and retention initiatives; directs delivery of quality . member services and programs.


Strategic Planning In partnership with the board, guides and manages planning efforts which define long and short term goals.

Communication Attend meetings, provide presentations and serve as an advisor regarding marketing and visitor services to the Chamber of Commerce, City Manager, City Council, Longmont Area Visitors Association board, members of the business community, and the public.

Regional/International Participate actively in regional, state, national and international organizations to induce travel activity in Longmont and Colorado.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Title: Manager of Housekeeping
Job Description: Scope of Position:

The Manager of Housekeeping is responsible for managing all aspects of the Housekeeping Department and staff to bring about a positive experience for all WinShape Retreat Guests. The Manager of Housekeeping has direct supervision of the Housekeeping Coordinator, Housekeepers, and Housekeeping Administrative Assistant. The Manager of Housekeeping reports directly to the Manager of Guest Services.

Job Responsibilities:

1. LEAD AND MANAGE Housekeeping Staff (Housekeeping Coordinator, Housekeepers, and Housekeeping Administrative Assistant) to ensure a positive guest experience during their stay at WinShape Retreat.

2. DEVELOPS AND IMPLEMENTS the training and development for the Housekeeping Staff.

3. RESPONSIBLE for the overall cleanliness in the following Retreat areas: all lodging areas, all Public areas, and the Normandy Inn area.

4. DEMONSTRATES competency with Maestro and other necessary software to retrieve information required to ascertain housekeeping needs in all major areas as described above.

5. ASSIST with the management of the annual budget for Housekeeping including purchasing all guest room supplies, cleaning supplies, and janitorial supplies for the entire Retreat.

6. SERVES as a member of the Guest Services Leadership Team in support of the goals and values of creating a safe place for growth and transformation.

7. OBSERVE AND REPORT any repair and maintenance needs to the appropriate Retreat department.

8. SERVES as the owner of the Housekeeping Standards that define the shared expectations of the department, makes changes to those standards on an as needed basis, and champions those standards with other departments in the Retreat.

9. ASSISTS when possible with special events/projects of WinShape Retreat specifically during camp turnover.

10. PERFORMS other duties as assigned by the Manager of Guest Services.



Requirements:

• Experience in management, housekeeping or related fields.
• Experience in dealing with guests in a non-intrusive, supportive, and loving manner.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and train others.
• Must have the ability to identify, anticipate, and address needs of the guest.
• Must possess a cooperative spirit and demonstrate the ability to build a strong ongoing working relationship with staff assigned to them and with representatives of all departments.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing people including the ability to encourage, empower, and hold others accountable
• Must be a skilled communicator with an optimistic “can-do” attitude
• Must be flexible/adaptable
• Must possess commitment to excellence, see their work as ministry, and have a heart for hospitality
• Understanding and acceptance of the need to balance three key areas:
1. Stewarding resources
2. Caring for employees
3. Accomplishing the mission

Physical Requirements

Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and /or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, talking, hearing. Close visual acuity. Subject to both inside/outside conditions. Subject to hazards.
